Album Notes & Community Reviews

Adding guitar virtuoso Joe Walsh to their ranks, the Eagles largely shed their breezy country-rock origins for a darker, immensely successful critique of American excess. 'Hotel California' is a remarkably melodic, flawlessly produced pop-rock concept album, defining a deeply melancholic, beautifully sentimental, and notably nocturnal vision of the Los Angeles music industry.
