Album Notes & Community Reviews

Significantly scaling back their signature brass section and organic percussion, the legendary ensemble attempted a drastic pivot into synthesizer-heavy, drum-machine-driven electro-funk. While it yielded a sharply futuristic sonic palette, the drastic stylistic departure polarized both critics and their deeply established fanbase.
