Album Notes & Community Reviews
The legendary funk ensemble's twelfth studio album heavily incorporates the digital synthesizers and drum programming characteristic of the mid-eighties. 'Powerlight' features the uplifting hit 'Fall in Love with Me', successfully merging Maurice White's intricate vocal arrangements with the crisp, synthesized textures of modern R&B. The album demonstrated their impressive capacity to adapt to changing pop trends.
