Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded live in a radio studio with a remarkably sparse trio format consisting only of piano, bass, and drums. The unpolished, incredibly energetic performances highlight John's exceptional, gospel-inflected piano playing, standing in stark, raw contrast to the heavily orchestrated studio pop that would soon define his career.
