Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following a major lineup change in his backing band, 'Rock of the Westies' presents a harder, more driving rock edge than Elton John's immediate predecessors. Reaching the top of the charts practically upon release, the album highlights aggressive rhythm sections and heavily incorporates guitar-driven funk and glam flourishes.
