Album Notes & Community Reviews
Thoroughly obsessed with the romanticized mythology of the American Old West, Elton John and Bernie Taupin crafted an astonishingly cohesive, beautifully orchestrated concept album. 'Tumbleweed Connection' is wonderfully warm and deeply pastoral, utilizing fiercely melodic piano-rock and gospel-inflected country-rock to tell remarkably bittersweet, highly evocative historical narratives.
