Album Notes & Community Reviews
Serving as a monumental turning point in their career, the Norwegian ensemble boldly infused their aggressive Viking black metal origins with highly complex, 1970s-style progressive rock structures. 'Mardraum' introduced strange time signatures, clean vocal passages, and surreal, psychedelic riffing, laying the absolute foundation for their celebrated later era.
