Album Notes & Community Reviews

Signaling a triumphant rebirth following their departure from Motown, 'Keeper of the Castle' embraces a slightly more mature, funk-inflected soul aesthetic. The legendary vocal group tackles socially conscious themes alongside their trademark romantic balladry, backed by rich, contemporary orchestrations. The title track returned them to massive commercial prominence, proving their enduring relevance in the seventies R&B landscape.
