Album Notes & Community Reviews
Following extensive legal battles that significantly stripped down his backing band, Frank Zappa leaned heavily into his distinctively blistering, blues-infused guitar playing. 'Zoot Allures' balances highly complex, fiercely progressive jazz-rock instrumentals like 'Black Napkins' with intensely humorous, wildly sarcastic comedy-rock numbers centered on sexual vulgarity and manic social critique.
