Album Notes & Community Reviews

Formed as an underground supergroup featuring Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth and Julie Cafritz of Pussy Galore, Free Kitten revels entirely in chaotic, shambolic noise rock on 'Nice Ass'. The record heavily utilizes detuned guitars, deadpan vocal deliveries, and a loose, highly improvisational DIY aesthetic. It stands as a gloriously unpolished, highly influential intersection of 90s riot grrrl ethos and downtown New York avant-rock.
