Album Notes & Community Reviews
Conceived as a militant, pro-funk rallying cry against the overwhelming dominance of the disco industry, George Clinton's collective delivered a massive, synthesizer-heavy masterwork. The record is famously anchored by the monumental fifteen-minute groove '(Not Just) Knee Deep', which later provided the foundation for countless hip-hop samples. The album firmly cemented the P-Funk empire's dominance in the late-70s R&B landscape.
