Album Notes & Community Reviews

The 2016 debut from Richmond's .Gif from god, '...defragmented...reformatted' is a foundational work of chaotic emoviolence and mathcore. The album established the band鈥檚 signature blend of spastic, dissonant arrangements, panic-chord riffing, and a dual-vocal assault, combining the raw intensity of screamo with the technical absurdity of metalcore. Initially self-released, the record鈥檚 circulation through multiple small-run cassette pressings cemented its status as a touchstone in the modern DIY underground scene.
