Album Notes & Community Reviews

The notorious Norwegian black metal veterans return from a lengthy hiatus, debuting new vocalist Atterigner to handle their unapologetically satanic, nihilistic lyricism. 'Instinctus bestialis' surprisingly slows down their traditional blast-beat ferocity, focusing heavily on highly infectious, almost death metal-inspired mid-tempo grooves and prominent guitar leads. The album is a remarkably melodic, yet consistently heavy and aggressive addition to their terrifying catalog.
