Album Notes & Community Reviews
Following a bitter legal dispute with their former manager Terry Knight, the American rock titans (briefly shortening their name from Grand Funk Railroad) expanded to a quartet with the addition of keyboardist Craig Frost. The resulting album pivots slightly from their bone-crushing fuzz-rock towards a more polished, keyboard-driven pop-rock sensibility. The inclusion of the hit single 'Rock 'n Roll Soul' signaled their successful transition into a more radio-friendly era.
