Recorded during a brief, feverish burst of inspiration at a residency in Wyoming, Liz Harris' eleventh album is an incredibly brief, achingly beautiful collection of piano ballads. Clocking in at just 22 minutes, the project relies entirely on her hushed, multi-tracked vocals and sparse, funereal piano playing. It serves as a breathtakingly intimate, almost painfully vulnerable meditation on exhaustion and isolation.
