Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced by Mott the Hoople legends Dale Griffin and Pete Watts, this fourth studio album significantly polished the band's raucous, sleazy aesthetic. 'Back to Mystery City' perfectly synthesizes the gritty, high-energy attack of 1970s punk with the flamboyant theatricality of classic glam rock. The incredibly melodic, guitar-driven sound heavily anticipated and influenced the massive mid-80s hair metal explosion in Los Angeles.
