Biography
Hanoi Rocks were Finland's first internationally known rock band, a Helsinki glam group led by Michael Monroe and Andy McCoy. Formed in 1979, they released five albums in their first run, from 'Bangkok Shocks, Saigon Shakes, Hanoi Rocks' in 1981 to 'Two Steps from the Move' in 1984, before drummer Razzle's death in a 1984 car crash led to a 1985 split. Monroe and McCoy revived the band for three further albums between 2002 and 2007, ending the group for good in 2009.
