Selbstportrait

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded entirely at home using simple tape machines and synthesizers, the Cluster co-founder issued a remarkably intimate and pastoral solo collection. The brief, deeply melodic synthesizer sketches reject the sprawling, cosmic nature of classic krautrock in favor of gentle, almost whimsical electronic chamber music. The album perfectly distills his unique talent for crafting profoundly peaceful and highly emotive ambient textures.
