Album Notes & Community Reviews

Paying homage to classic 1970s European horror cinema, the Finnish extreme metal outfit delivered an oppressive, lethargic slab of doom on 'Effigies of Evil'. The album masterfully balances the crushing, slow-motion weight of traditional doom metal with guttural death metal vocals and surprisingly catchy, melodic twin-guitar leads.
