Album Notes & Community Reviews

This album showcases the Baltimore quartet at their most ambitious and compositionally dense. 'The Common Task' is built around complex algorithmic structures and utopian political concepts, translating abstract ideas into dizzying displays of polyrhythmic and microtonal rock. Featuring bagpipes and custom-built musical hardware, the record is a mind-bending fusion of humanistic theory and intensely technical performance.
