Following their departure from King Crimson after the groundbreaking 'In the Court of the Crimson King', Ian McDonald and Michael Giles delivered a vastly different, beautifully optimistic masterwork. Their sole collaborative album is wonderfully eclectic and fiercely melodic, weaving incredibly lush, deeply uplifting symphonic prog arrangements into a remarkably happy, slightly psychedelic pop-rock atmosphere.
