Album Notes & Community Reviews

Delivering pristine, melancholic Nordic jazz, 'Photo With Blue Sky...' highlights Jan Garbarek's piercingly beautiful saxophone tone against a deeply empathetic rhythm section. The inclusion of guitarist Bill Connors adds a subtle, electric fusion edge to the otherwise icy, atmospheric compositions. The record is widely praised as a definitive, flawlessly executed example of the classic late-seventies ECM aesthetic.
