Album Notes & Community Reviews

Celebrating the 500th release on the legendary ECM label, the Norwegian saxophonist's ensemble delivers an expansive, deeply atmospheric fusion of contemporary jazz and Nordic folk traditions. The pristine, reverb-drenched recordings are particularly elevated by the powerful vocal contributions of Sami singer Mari Boine.
