Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as an absolute benchmark for the pristine European jazz sound championed by the ECM label, this Norwegian-Swedish quartet delivered a breathtakingly gorgeous studio date. Highlighted by its mesmerizing Jim Pepper-penned title track, the album weaves remarkably passionate, beautifully melodic acoustic improvisations through a wonderfully spiritual, deeply atmospheric modal jazz landscape.
