Album Notes & Community Reviews

An outrageously provocative cornerstone of early queer punk, 'Things Your Mother Never Told You' drips with theatrical sleaze and biting satire. Jayne County's confrontational, boundary-pushing lyrics tackle gender identity and societal taboos over gritty, high-energy rock and roll. Produced by David Cunningham, the record remains a vitally important, fearlessly transgressive document of the late-seventies punk underground.
