Biography
Jayne County & The Electric Chairs were the London-formed glam punk band fronted by Jayne County, then performing as Wayne County, between 1977 and 1979. Backed first by Greg Van Cook, Val Haller and J.J. Johnson, and later by Henry Padovani and Eliot Michael, County recorded three albums for #Safari#: 'The Electric Chairs', 'Storm the Gates of Heaven' and 'Things Your Mother Never Told You'. Their records combined camp, confrontation and rock and roll, and the billing remains County's defining band identity before her solo career as Jayne County.
