Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Shining Skull Breath' is an early solo release by American multi-instrumentalist Jefre Cantu-Ledesma, co-founder of the Root Strata label. The album features deeply distorted, tape-saturated ambient drones that slowly build into walls of abrasive yet melancholic shoegaze-like noise. It marks a significant point in his ongoing exploration of decaying, memory-evoking sonic textures.
