Uniting the driving, avant-garde noise of the Velvet Underground co-founder with the pioneer of American minimalism, 'Church of Anthrax' is a staggeringly inventive instrumental collaboration. The album is fiercely energetic and intensely repetitive, weaving wonderfully hypnotic, highly technical piano motifs with surprisingly funky, deeply psychedelic art-rock improvisations.
