Hitomi

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded live in a single session in Oregon, this late-career release captures the foundational American Primitivist guitarist in a stark, uncompromising environment. 'Hitomi' blends his signature fingerpicking style with heavily dissonant, avant-garde explorations and unpredictable bursts of abrasive electric guitar noise. The largely instrumental album serves as a challenging, abrasive chapter in Fahey's final experimental phase.
