Album Notes & Community Reviews

Hassell recorded the album at Grant Avenue Studio in Hamilton with Daniel Lanois engineering, and Brian Eno plays drums and mixed several tracks. Its centrepiece, 'Malay', is built on a recording of the Semelai people of Malaysia splashing water in rhythm, and Mati Klarwein's cover painting completes the record's imagined geography.
