Recorded in Paris with arrangements by Jos茅 M谩rio Branco, this landmark release of political folk music arrived mere months before the Carnation Revolution that overthrew the Portuguese dictatorship. The compositions integrate complex, poetic lyricism aimed at undermining the censorship of the Estado Novo regime, supported by a mix of traditional Iberian acoustic instrumentation and progressive studio techniques.
