Sotera

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Ending a nearly decade-long hiatus, the Boston post-metal outfit Junius returns with 'Sotera'. Released via Prosthetic Records, the album centers thematically around the divine feminine, expanding their signature blend of crushing atmospheric sludge metal and melodic shoegaze textures. The recording represents a sonic rebirth for the band, heavily incorporating ritualistic and spiritual elements into its dense, apocalyptic atmosphere.
