Biography
Junius is a Boston post-metal and art rock band formed in 2003 around singer and guitarist Joseph E. Martinez and drummer Dana Filloon. With guitarist Michael Repasch-Nieves and bassist Joel Munguia they made the concept albums 'The Martyrdom of a Catastrophist' (2009), inspired by *Immanuel Velikovsky*, and 'Reports From the Threshold of Death' (2011), favouring clean singing, shoegaze atmosphere and heavy, hymn-like builds. Martinez and Filloon later continued as the core, releasing 'Eternal Rituals for the Accretion of Light' (2017) and, after a nine-year gap, 'Sotera' (2026).
