Album Notes & Community Reviews

Retreating to his home studio in Oklahoma, the legendary session pianist crafted his most commercially successful solo album, characterized by a laid-back, swampy Americana aesthetic. Anchored by the hit single 'Tight Rope', the compositions blend rollicking boogie-woogie piano with introspective, slightly eccentric lyricism exploring the dichotomies of fame and the music business. It represents a peak of his highly idiosyncratic Southern rock vision.
