Album Notes & Community Reviews

Featuring a massive ensemble of top-tier studio musicians dubbed 'The Shelter People', the virtuosic pianist delivered a swaggering, gospel-infused slab of Southern rock. The album masterfully balances rollicking, boogie-woogie originals with deeply soulful covers of Bob Dylan and George Harrison. It perfectly encapsulates his role as the wild, unkempt ringleader of the 1970s roots-rock revival.
