Album Notes & Community Reviews

On this mixtape, Lizzo pivots to a more direct, stripped-down, and beat-focused hip-hop sound. 'My Face Hurts From Smiling' is a playful and hedonistic collection of tracks, heavily indebted to the bouncy, rhythmic energy of Southern trap and bounce music. It's a quirky, energetic, and party-ready project that showcases her versatility as a rapper and her satirical take on fame.
