Album Notes & Community Reviews
The darkwave project fully embraced a chilling, winter-themed aesthetic, crafting incredibly sparse and isolated atmospheric soundscapes. Mike VanPortfleet's whispered, echoing vocals drift through icy synthesizer pads and programmed, heavily reverberated drum machine patterns. The deeply melancholic recording cemented the act's status as a quintessential pillar of the 1990s underground gothic movement.
