Biography
Lycia is an American darkwave project formed in Tempe, Arizona, in 1988 by Mike VanPortfleet. Joined by vocalist Tara VanFlower and multi-instrumentalist David Galas, the project became a cornerstone of the #Projekt Records# roster with albums such as 'Ionia' and 'The Burning Circle and Then Dust', pairing funereal synthesizers and drum machines with ethereal vocals. After a quieter decade, Lycia resumed recording in the 2010s with 'Quiet Moments' and 'In Flickers'.
