Recorded at the Taverne de l'Olympia in Paris during a period of fierce personnel transition, this album introduces the incredibly virtuosic Bernard Paganotti on bass and Didier Lockwood on violin. Stripped of the dense orchestral choirs of their studio work, the band leans heavily into a searing, jazz-rock-infused iteration of Christian Vander's Kobaïan mythology. The relentless, heavily syncopated performance captures the Zeuhl pioneers at their most visceral and direct.
