Album Notes & Community Reviews

Culled from a series of triumphant performances at the Olympia in Paris during the summer of 1980, 'Rétrospective Vol. 1 & 2' captures a formidable era of the progressive ensemble. Showcasing intense, polyrhythmic suites and otherworldly vocal arrangements sung in their invented language of Kobaïan, the recordings perfectly crystallize the band's unique fusion of avant-garde jazz and heavy rock. It remains a crucial live document of their peak technical prowess.
