Album Notes & Community Reviews
Following the abrasive, highly political post-punk experimentation of 'Journal for Plague Lovers', the legendary Welsh trio deliberately returned to sweeping, stadium-sized alternative rock. Brimming with gospel choirs, rich string arrangements, and unabashedly massive guitar solos, the record was playfully described by the band as their attempt at mainstream, heavy-metal Motown.
