Album Notes & Community Reviews

'In Advance of the Broken Arm' is the frenetic debut album by American musician Marnie Stern. Featuring Hella's Zach Hill on drums, the tracks are characterized by Stern's dizzying, complex two-handed guitar tapping and her breathless, overlapping vocal melodies. The project injected a refreshing, hyperactive pop sensibility into the often sterile landscape of technical instrumentation.
