Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced by future Bruce Springsteen manager Jon Landau, the MC5's first true studio album completely stripped away the sprawling free-jazz jams of their live debut. 'Back in the USA' is a wonderfully playful, remarkably tight proto-punk classic, delivering fiercely energetic, highly melodic garage-rock anthems dripping with raw, unapologetic 1950s rock-and-roll swagger.
