'Boces' captures Mercury Rev at their most chaotic, playful, and experimentally noisy prior to the departure of David Baker. The album is an incredibly dense explosion of neo-psychedelia and space rock, swirling surreal wind instruments and heavily distorted guitars into a hypnotic summer haze.
