Quorum

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Aligning with the New York 'Totalism' movement, Mikel Rouse constructs a highly rigid, rhythmically complex album entirely through synthesizer sequencing. 'Quorum' utilizes intricately programmed, overlapping polyrhythms to create a cold, hyper-minimalist electronic landscape. It is a demanding, cerebral work that applies strict post-minimalist classical theories to early digital instrumentation.
