Atomic

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally composed as the soundtrack for Mark Cousins' documentary 'Atomic: Living in Dread and Promise', this album sees Mogwai exploring a more electronic and ambient-focused sound. The music is a powerful companion to the film's subject matter, creating soundscapes that range from haunting and somber to cautiously optimistic. Reworked from the film's score, the album stands on its own as a cohesive and atmospheric journey, prioritizing texture and mood over the band's more guitar-driven dynamics.
