Les Revenants

Album Notes & Community Reviews

This album is the score for the French television series of the same name, showcasing a more subdued and minimalist side of Mogwai. The music is atmospheric and eerie, relying on sparse piano melodies, subtle electronic textures, and haunting synth pads to create a sense of suspense and melancholy. Unlike their studio albums, 'Les Revenants' largely avoids grand crescendos, instead focusing on crafting a consistent, somber mood that perfectly complements the show's supernatural themes.
