Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'Make-up is a Lie', Morrissey returns to his signature blend of jangle-pop guitar arrangements and highly literate, sardonic lyricism. The album is deeply melancholic and dramatic, anchored by his unmistakable, theatrical baritone.
