Album Notes & Community Reviews

The British quintet stripped away the lingering death metal elements and harsh growls of their early work to fully embrace a pristine, tragic romanticism. Aaron Stainthorpe's consistently clean, poetic delivery drives the melancholic compositions, strongly anchoring the band's massive, lumbering doom riffs in deep sorrow. It firmly established a significantly more accessible and emotionally vulnerable iteration of 1990s gothic metal.
