Album Notes & Community Reviews
Fronted by the impassioned saxophonist James Senese, Napoli Centrale infuses complex jazz-rock with the deep, rhythmic traditions and fiery dialect of Southern Italy. The album features tight, electric piano-driven grooves that serve as a backdrop for politically charged lyrics concerning working-class Neapolitan life. It remains a fierce, culturally specific landmark of the Italian fusion boom.
